This is a virtual piano.  If you don't have an instrument at home, this is great to practice your scales.

I'm very excited about piano this year.  I think we're off to a great start.  Good Job!!

All piano students will play and sing their vocal scales.
VC - We'll get started next week.  This week's sessions were more introductory.


Chamber and RC - I was very proud of you this week. I believe learning to play your vocal scales will improve your pitch accuracy when performing them.

All piano scales are due Oct. 11th.  You may begin checking them off during class, or before or after school.

The Piano Lab is open to all vocal students at 7:45 am.

Congratulations on a great concert!  Your hard work and long rehearsals really paid off.

We will start piano and theory groups this week.  You will be grouped based on the results of your pre-test.  There will be changes made as we progress.

Pianists
Practice playing the vocal major, minor and chromatic scales the way we sing them in class.  All piano students will learn how to do this so that we can be more accurate when singing our scales.
It would be great to have everyone singing the scales accurately this year.

VC - Welcome to the vocal program at CCCEPA!  We are looking forward to a great year of choral music.  The piano program will get started after the Workshop Concert.  You will be assessed and divided into groups according to skill level.

The Piano Lab is open everyday before for your convenience.  Check with the vocal faculty about after school because we have a space issue now with our voice teachers after school.  They may have to teach in the Piano Lab. 

Please continue practicing.  The recital is right around the corner. 
Most of you have made very good progress. 

VC - "Rockets" - "What Can I Share?"  Ask for sheet music to take home if you need it.
Other classes - individual repertoire - You are graded according to your progress.

CH & WR - all major scale grades have been recorded.  If you are not happy with yours you may play them again for me by appointment.

Recital Credits - are due by Friday, 3/ 22 for recitals given this past weekend.
